Natural Framework Project.

For me I enjoyed this project, I had the chance to draw many different things, going from drawing animals, sea life, bugs, skeletons, and more. I created four finals for each discipline; 3D, Graphics, Textiles and Fine Art. I visited Liverpool World Museum for the primary research that I needed. There where many different rooms which each had interesting objects to draw. From these drawings I developed my ideas and techniques further and made them into finals. For 3D; I created a body adornment piece, this piece could be created for any part of the body ranging from the head to the foot. I decided to create my piece from my thigh. I used two different pieces of wire and metal for design. For Graphics; I created four postcards based on the four seasons, using the techniques from Nadia Flower and Stefan Sagmesiter, and mixed their techniques or created a piece on just their techniques. For Textiles; I created a top, which had a range of stitching, distressing, fabrics and more. For Fine Art; I created a square lino print, with three different colours added to one picture, and also an etching print to show texture and pattern.

Drawing shapes onto 3D forms helped me to figure out the shape I would need to create my piece. These are just a few of what I designed to help me decide on creating a 3D body adornment for my thigh, and with what kind of patterns and shape I would have.

I drew this to help my progress on my final for Spring. I thought it linked very well to the Artist Nadia Flower, and I have used her techniques very well. This helped me decide how I would create the letter for the final piece, and what colours I should use.

Braiding was one of the many techniques that I used to decide on which techniques I would like to use on my final, I also used distressing and layering. I only used a little bit of braiding on the top as I thought to much would take the detail away.

This is a close up on the final piece. I like how the colours are layered and I find that they look better close up than from a distance. I think having the colours layered is much better than have just one colour, it brings more interest to the piece.
